Calendar

Defines periods when work can or cannot occur during a project and the length of the work period, holidays, and exceptions.

Calendar Unit

The smallest unit of time used in scheduling the project. Calendar units are generally in hours, days, or weeks, but can also be in quarter years, months, shifts, or even in minutes.

Capability

The ability to add value or achieve objectives in an organization through a function, process, service, or other proficiency.

Capability Assessment

The internal analysis of what an organization has or does not have and what it can and cannot do with respect to resources.

Capability Framework

A collection of an organization's capabilities, organized into manageable pieces, similar to business architecture.

Capability Table

A table that displays the capabilities needed to solve a problem or seize an opportunity. This tool can show the relationship between a situation, its root causes, and the capabilities needed to address the situation.

Capacity and Capability Analysis

A technique performed to understand the human, financial, and asset capacity and capability of an organization in order to select, fund, and execute portfolio components.

Capacity Management

The processes for managing overall resource demands of portfolios and their components.

Capacity Planning

The analysis of resource needs based on component demand and the available capacity of an organization's resources.

Cardinality

An indication of the quantity of one business data object which is associated with a related business data object. Current usage of the term also includes whether the relationship between the two objects is required or optional.

Category

A predetermined key description used to group potential and authorized components to facilitate further decision making. Categories are linked to components with a common set of strategic goals.

Cause

Events or circumstances that currently exist or are certain to exist in the future, which might give rise to risks.

Cause and Effect Diagram

A decomposition technique that helps trace an undesirable effect back to its root cause.

A visual representation that helps trace an undesirable effect back to its root cause.

A modification to any formally controlled deliverable, project management plan component, or project document.

تغییر: اصلاح یا تغییری در یک دستاورد/تحویل دادنی‌، اجزای برنامه مدیریت پروژه، یا سایر اسناد پروژه که بطور رسمی کنترل می‌شوند.
